Over 15 years ago, Jim Jinkins and David Campbell founded Jumbo Pictures, now Cartoon Pizza, and have been delighting kids and families ever since.
The award-winning animated series, Doug, created by Jinkins, received the 1993 and 1994 Parents' Choice Awards and a 1995 Kids' Choice Award. The show was also nominated for three Cable ACE Awards, four Emmy Awards, and the prestigious Prix Jeunesse International Award. In addition, Doug received the Annenberg Public Policy Center Award for Outstanding Educational Program on a Commercial Broadcast Station in 2000. The organizers said, "Disney's Doug (is) the exemplification of the marriage of good storytelling with enriching, thoughtful lessons for the school age audience."
For Disney Channel's preschool block, Disney Playhouse, Jinkins and Campbell produced 65 episodes of the highly acclaimed PB&J Otter, which won the Spring 2000 Parents' Choice Award and is currently the highest rated preschool show on Disney Channel. Jinkins and Campbell also created and produced an Emmy-winning animated series called Stanley and Jo Jo's Circus, both of which received critical acclaim as well as ratings success.
At Nickelodeon, Jinkins and Campbell created and produced 50 episodes of Allegra's Window, which won the 1994 Parents' Choice Award and was nominated for an Emmy and a Cable ACE Award.
In April of 2003, Jinkins and Campbell premiered a new series on Sesame Street's 35th anniversary season entitled Global Thingy. This series of comical, animated shorts (slated for expansion into a longer format) illustrates the difficulties and rewards of highlighting differences between cultures while celebrating what we have in common.
Monster Monster Trucks is about a group of young monster trucks who live in Transaxylvania and have a few problems over competition versus cooperation. The first video in this series, The Golden Rules, is slated for release in 2006.
HoopDogz is a direct to DVD series that teaches kid-friendly life lessons. The first release, won a 2005 Parent's Choice recommended award and the second release "Stealing's Uncool!" has been awarded the Dove Family Approved Seal.
