Pinky Dinky Doo
Pinky is a sweet, happy, seven-year-old girl who loves being a kid! If Dinky was not her middle name, it would be “Silly.” Pinky has a terrific sense of humor and will go to great lengths to make people laugh – even if it means wearing a wedge of cheese to school or putting a pretty pink pony on her head! Her little brother, Tyler, and her cute and loveable ball of fur, Mr. Guinea Pig, know they can always go to Pinky with a real-world problem and she will THINK BIG to come up with an incredibly imaginative and inspirational story offering an outrageous solution to cheer them up.
Not only is Pinky a good friend, but also a good daughter and cool big sister. She obeys her parents and is considerate of her brother… pretty much… but in no way is Pinky a pushover or a sugary-sweet creampuff. Pinky is feisty, confident, daring and adventurous! From time to time, she may even let loose an accidental burp or unexpected hiccup, but she is always quick with a “pardon me.”
In addition to telling stories, solving problems, and playing with her little brother, Pinky loves school, her friends, and dancing. What doesn’t Pinky like, you ask? Believe it or not: PINK!
Tyler Dinky Doo
Tyler is Pinky’s four-year-old brother. He loves day camp, Karate class and belly boarding on his sister’s skateboard. When Tyler has an idea, he goes into it full-speed ahead. This is why he tends to end up with lots of problems – problems that can usually be solved with the help of a made-up story by his sister. Pinky’s stories are always fun and filled with new words and big ideas. Sometimes, the main character is a pirate king named Captain Tyler or a comic hero named Super Dooper Tyler. For some reason, stories like these are Tyler’s favorite.
Mr. Guinea Pig
Pinky has belonged to Mr. Guinea Pig for as long as he can remember. His favorite game to play with her is hide-and-seek in the cedar shavings that line his cage. Mr. Guinea Pig also loves to make really noisy, slurpy, licky sounds when drinking from his water bottle and, even more, he loves his exercise wheel because it is a great place to take a nap. Most of all, Mr. Guinea Pig’s favorite pastime is listening to Pinky’s stories… especially the ones starring a guinea pig! In Pinky’s made-up fantasy world of stories, Mr. Guinea Pig lives in what looks like a simple cardboard box, but do not be fooled because inside is the true lap of luxury.
Daffinee Toilette
Daffinee, like Pinky, is seven-years-old. She lives next door to the Dinky Doo family and loves inviting Pinky and her other friends over for tea parties. Daffinee loves wearing her shiny patent leather shoes, spangly dangly earrings and would never be caught in a pair of jeans. Daffinee loves all things pretty, and cringes at dirt, germs and anything that smells funny. Though different in many ways, Pinky and Daffinee are very good friends. Pinky especially enjoys playing with Daffinee’s perfect hair – it sproings when you twang it!
Mommy Dinky Doo
Mommy Dinky Doo is a full-time mom, who also writes children’s books and magazines. She loves her job, but sometimes her schedule is so crazy that she ends up making silly mistakes. One day, she even carried Pinky’s double bolgna sandwich lunch instead of her briefcase to work!
Mommy is always trying out new and adventurous recipes on the family. Sometimes they are a huge hit, like the Chicken a la Potato Chip Casserole Ole. Unfortunately, every now and then, she comes up with something like liver jello and it is time to head down the street to Holy Guacamole for some real food.
Daddy Dinky Doo
Daddy Dinky Doo works in his animation studio called Daddy Dinky Doodles where he makes funny cartoons for kids! On special occasions, he takes Pinky to work with him because she loves to watch him draw, write, paint and play musical instruments, all the while learning how a story moves from Dad’s head to his computer screen to the TV. When Pinky grows up, she wants to be just like her Dad - but you may have already guessed that!
Nicholas Biscuit
Nicholas is a six and a-half-year-old non-stop ball of energy who loves to be different. For example, instead of brushing his hair “normal,” he combs it up in a triangle on top of his head. Nicholas and Pinky have been best friends forever. Their friendship began the day Pinky took Nicholas’ favorite sock and turned it into a puppet. At first, Nicholas was upset Pinky ruined his sock, but when Pinky used the new puppet to tell a crazy funny story, Nicholas laughed so hard, he forgave her immediately. He lost his sock forever, but he gained a friend for life.
Bobby Boom
Bobby is a six-year-old going on sixteen. He is funny, quick-witted and super smart. In fact, sometimes he is too smart for his own good, especially when he predicts imperfect outcomes to situations and panics. Bobby just got a super cool new wheelchair for his sixth birthday and loves to pop wheelies in that baby!
