JOCELYN HASSENFELD
Producer

Jocelyn Hassenfeld is an independent producer, director and writer who has worked in children's television for over 15 years focusing on pro-social initiatives and educational television. Early in her career Jocelyn developed and produced the award winning Nickelodeon's The Big Help. This campaign, featuring Whoopi Goldberg, encouraged kids to volunteer in their communities. Among other projects for Nickelodeon, Jocelyn developed several short form puppet series including Reeds Sound Jars, a spin off of Allegra's Window.

Jocelyn helped launch Noggin, the commercial free educational network for kids, and was integral in creating the vision for the network. She developed and produced network branding and created several award winning series including the Emmy-nominated If I Were There. In 2000, Jocelyn was asked to reinvent Sesame Street for Noggin. The result was Play with Me Sesame, an interactive play date with Ernie, Bert and Grover, which Jocelyn developed, produced and directed. Play with Me Sesame is a popular series for Noggin and an international hit for Sesame Workshop.

Jocelyn combined her extensive production knowledge with her day-to-day life-lessons as a new mother to develop, produce and write music and lyrics for Sesame Beginnings. Her two-year old daughter Ella informed and inspired Jocelyn everyday through their shared experiences.

DIONNE NOSEK
Producer

Throughout her 10 years at Sesame Workshop, Dionne has participated in several brand launches including Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat, Noggin and is now proud contributor to the arrival of Sesame Beginnings.

Dionne Nosek has developed and produced many Sesame Street titles in a variety of formats and curriculum. All Star Alphabet starring Stephen Colbert as the letter Z and Nicole Sullivan as the letter A, takes Sesame Street on location to interview kids and families about words and letters; Zoe and Paula Abdul teach preschoolers an "everything" dance in Zoe's Dance Moves; and healthy eating, movement and rest are the steps to becoming Happy Healthy Monsters, a video that features songs sung by Wyclef Jean and India.Arie. Other credits include a classic tribute to the loveable blue furry monster: A Celebration of Me, Grover; Elmo's Musical Adventure, a Sesame Street version of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf featuring the Boston Pops and the retelling of a classic fairytale, and CinderElmo which aired as a holiday special on FOX.

KEVIN CLASH
Co-Producer and Director

Kevin Clash, whose characters include Elmo, Hoots the Owl and Baby Natasha, is Sesame Street's Senior Puppet Coordinator and Muppet Captain. He began building puppets at the age of ten and performed on Baltimore's Harbor Front and local television as a teenager. Clash's first television work was for the CBS affiliate in Baltimore. He came to Sesame Street after attracting the attention of Muppet designer Kermit Love. Clash's film credits include Jim Henson's 1986 fantasy film, Labyrinth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I and II, Muppet Treasure Island, Muppets from Space, and Elmo in Grouchland. His television work includes The Great Space Coaster, Captain Kangaroo, Dinosaurs and Muppets Tonight. He also was Co-Executive Producer for Elmopalooza, CinderElmo, and Elmo's World; Co-Producer for The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland; and also directs Sesame Street episodes and other projects. Clash won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series for his work as Elmo and Hoots the Owl in Season 21 and Season 35, and in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 for his work as Co-Executive Producer for Outstanding Pre-School Children's Series.

CHRISTINE FERRARO
Writer

Christine Ferraro has been writing scripts and lyrics for Sesame Street since 1993. She has earned six Emmy Awards as a member of the Sesame Street writing staff, as well as two Writers' Guild of America Awards. She has also written many Sesame Street home videos, specials, songs and books. She is the proud mother of Jacey and Kyrie, two devoted Sesame Street watchers.

LIZ NEALON
Executive Vice President, Creative Director
Sesame Workshop

Liz Nealon is responsible for leading and guiding Sesame Workshop's creative engine by creating integrated educational media that is distributed through Television & Home Video, domestic and international Sesame Street co-productions, Interactive Media & Online, and Publishing.

Nealon has had a long affiliation with Sesame Workshop, where she launched two franchise properties that were both significant international co-productions. Her first tour of duty was as Executive Producer of the highly acclaimed Ghostwriter series (PBS/BBC), which utilized a mystery format to address critical literacy issues for school-age children. She returned to the Workshop in 2002, as Executive Producer of the award-winning tween drama, Out There (The N/BBC/ABC Australia).

Nealon was also Co-Founder and Executive Producer of JP Kids, a company dedicated to the development and production of quality multimedia products for kids and families. As the architect of the company's original creative team, she used her extensive production experience and knowledge of the children's marketplace to orchestrate successful production and distribution of JP Kids' early television properties including hit series The Famous Jett Jackson. She won a Prism Award for Harambee!, a moving family drama set in New York City during the Kwanzaa holiday period.

Nealon's broadcast career began at MTV: Music Television during the network's ground-breaking early years. Her decade-long tenure as a producer and writer culminated in five years as Sr. Vice President of International Programming, where she was instrumental in formulating the company's global strategy and launching its first international networks in Europe, Brazil, Australia and Asia.

Liz lives in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY with her 14-year-old daughter, Jules.

ROSEMARIE T. TRUGLIO, Ph.D.
Vice President Education and Research
Sesame Workshop

Rosemarie Truglio is responsible for the development of the interdisciplinary curriculum on which Sesame Street is based, and for the formative research conducted to inform production on how to enhance both the entertaining and educational components of the program. Dr. Truglio also develops and reviews the content across all Sesame Street products and programs (e.g. publishing, interactive, home videos, and outreach).

Before joining Sesame Workshop, she was an Assistant Professor of Communication and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Through her research, she has investigated the effects of television on the cognitive and social development of children and adolescents. She has written numerous articles appearing in child and developmental psychology journals; presented her work at national and international conferences; conducted media literacy workshops, and has appeared on both broadcast and cable network programs. Dr. Truglio is co-editor of G is for growing: Thirty years of research on children and Sesame Street (2001) published by Lawrence Earlbaum Associates.

Dr. Truglio currently serves on several Advisory Boards: Children's Digital Media Center, Alliance for a Media Literate America, and Girls Inc. Media Literacy.

Dr. Truglio received her Ph.D. in Developmental and Child Psychology from the University of Kansas, and her B.A in Psychology from Douglass College, Rutgers University.

ANNA E. HOUSLEY JUSTER
Director of Content
Sesame Workshop

Anna E. Housley Juster has been a part of the Education and Research team at Sesame Workshop for over five years. She currently serves as the Director of Content where she oversees content for the Sesame Street brand. Ms. Housley Juster works closely with Sesame Street producers and writers to ensure that curriculum objectives are effectively incorporated into all storylines, scripts, and commissioned films. Ms. Housley Juster also writes outreach material to enhance caregivers' awareness of children's developmental needs. She has created numerous parenting tips to offer caregivers suggestions for ways to extend the learning experience of various toys, books, and other products.

Ms. Housley Juster recently worked with colleagues at Sesame Workshop and with partner Thinkwell Design to create "Sesame Street Presents: The Body," a traveling museum exhibit for 2 - 8 year-olds, which uses interactive platforms to help children learn about how their bodies work and how to keep them healthy and strong.

Ms. Housley Juster holds a Masters degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University, there she conducted extensive research into young children's everyday understanding of math concepts and collaborated on the development of a math curriculum for pre-K and Kindergarten children. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in Child Development and English and she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education at the Steinhardt School of Education at New York University.

SANDBLAST PRODUCTIONS

SandBlast Productions is an award-winning music production company specializing in music for television, radio, film and the theatre. Television credits include music for Cartoon Network, ESPN, FOX , HBO, NBC, Nickelodeon, Noggin, Showtime, and Viacom. Over the past ten years, SandBlast has composed and produced theatre music in collaboration with noted playwrights Edward Albee, Lee Blessing, Horton Foote, Bill Irwin, Adrienne Kennedy, Arthur Miller, Sam Shepard, Regina Taylor, and Lanford Wilson, as well as for the 52nd Project in New York, which teaches children how to create and perform theatre.

A unique synthesis of creativity and technology, SandBlast utilizes everything from big band charts to funk grooves to Tibetan singing bowl sounds in its exploration of sonic alchemy. Musical influences range from Bulgarian folk music and Beethoven symphonies to avant-garde jazz, industrial strength rock and roll, and world music.

HANDCRANKED PRODUCTIONS

Bryan Papciak & Jeff Sias first worked together at Olive Jar Studios in Boston, directing highly original mixed-media television commercials for clients such as Cartoon Network, Samsung, NBC, 7-11, and others.

After Olive Jar's closing in 2001, Bryan & Jeff continued their creative partnership by forming their own company, Handcranked Productions.

Handcranked is known for visually rich, highly textured and designed projects, mixing and melding techniques such as stop-motion animation, affected live action, miniature sets, and digital compositing. Clients include HBO, Sesame Street, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and the Truth Campaign.

Bryan & Jeff are currently working on their own feature documentary production entitled American Ruins, as well as experimental short films, puppetry venues, and other artistic endeavors.
