A treat for the senses! A massage can soothe baby before bedtime. Gently massage her back, chest and tummy in circular motions. Talk about what you’re doing. ("Now, I'm going to rubba-dub-dub your tummy!") This helps baby to associate words with actions while learning about the senses through touch.

My husband, Andrew, wakes up every morning before the rest of the family to read. His routine includes a cup of coffee, a breakfast pastry, and a comfy chair in a quiet corner of our house. This reading ritual is as important to Andrew as bedtime stories are to our daughters Daisy and Phoebe--VERY important.
